Mindfulness is a meditation approach which was developed by Professor Jon Kabat-Zinn of University of Massachusetts Medical School. It is supported by 30 years of research. It is a powerful adjunct to adult psychotherapy or medical treatment and has proven beneficial for chronic pain, various health conditions, and depression and anxiety disorders.
This seminar will present an overview of the technique and show how it can be applied in psychotherapy. Mindfulness exercises will be described. Participants will be able to take part live in one of the mindfulness experiential exercises.
