The idea of the social library came from the need for a resource for information for professionals – our members.
But this is more than just a library. We believe in a collaborative model of sharing information. Information is exchanged between members, each member can make information available to everyone else. In addition to reading lists, recommendations, and a solution-base (a database of questions and answers), each seminar will have a section on our forum where participants will be able to continue exchange ideas. The forum will be used in several ways. Members who have participated in a seminar will be able to post questions for our experts. They will also have access to case studies and share their professional experiences.
The social library will also integrate other Web 2.0 tools such as Wikis, Postcasts, Blogs, Reference lists. We hope to offer soon a social/professional network for members to have their own page.
